Irish Harp
Associated with
Ireland as far back as the
twelfth century, the Irish harp has long been a national
symbol.
Traditional methods of
playing - that is plucking with the finger-nails - died
out, and musicians now employ the largely classical method
of using the pads of the fingers. The harp had faded into
oblivion until Laoise Kelly catapulted it back into
the limelight.
