Didjeridoo

Used by the Australian Aborigines to communicate over long distances, the didjeridoo - a long wooden tube - gives a low-pitched resonant sound.

Its sound patterns have different symbolic intent and relate to Aboriginal myth and their belief in songlines. The instrument first came to Irish shores with Australian musician Steve Cooney who was taught to play by an Aborigine master.
